GRADING POLICY    

Major Grades—60Percent (Exams, Essays, Projects, Etc.) All projects will be given a week long due date (i.e Project due week of Sept. 20-24) After the final day of that week, 10 points will be deducted for each day the project is late.  

Daily Grades—20 Percent (homework, class work, short writing assignments, etc.)

Quiz Grades—20 Percent (may be announced or unannounced)

Make Up Work Policy—It is the student’s responsibility to arrange for make-up work immediately upon his/her return to school. Make-up work and tests arrangements should be completed within a reasonable time.

LATE WORK POLICY

Late daily work or homework can be turned in ONE DAY late in a level class for a maximum grade of a 50. A zero will be entered after the one day period.

PROJECTS


All projects will be assigned a one week due date. This means that they may be turned in at any time during that week without being counted late. After that last day of that week, the work will be considered late and 10 points will be deducted per day.




MAJOR GRADE WRITING ASSIGNMENTS   

All writing assignments that students are given to complete at home are due on the specified due date. 10 points will be deducted per day that the assignment is late.




RETEST POLICY




One exam per 9 weeks may be retaken for a highest possible grade of a 70. The student must arrange for a retest with their teacher within one week of receiving their graded test in order to retest.




CHEATING AND PLAGIARISM POLICY

Cheating in any form will not be tolerated, and, if caught cheating, any student voluntarily involved will receive a grade of a zero (this includes tests and quizzes)




Plagiarism is considered cheating and will result in a grade of a zero.
