Attention: ALL Incoming students
Immunizations are Due before the 1st day of School EVERY year.

BEFORE YOUR CHILD ENTERS 7th GRADE these immunizations are required by Texas state law:
  • TDaP ( tetanus-diptheria-pertussis)
  • Varicella (chicken pox) 2 doses required.  If your child has had the disease a second immunization is not required & parents need to show proof of disease
  • Menactra/MCV4 (meningitis)
  • HepA (2 doses required)
*If immunizations are done before the end of this school year:
  • send a copy of your child's shot record to your current school nurse
*If immunizations are done over the summer you may:

Any student who has the following symptoms will be sent home from school or the student SHOULD NOT come to school:
  • Fever of 100 degrees or greater (37.7 Celsius)
  • Suspected contagious condition/disease
  • Rash of unknown origin
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Severe stomachache, headache or earache
  • A child who is too ill to function in the classroom
  • PLEASE NOTE:  A student should not be sent to school if fever-reducing medication is required to get the temperature below 100 degrees.  To help keep our York family healthy, students should be fever free/vomit free/diarrhea free for 24 hours before returning to school following an illness.
