This summer, Conroe ISD will host college workshops and college fairs for rising seniors (Class of 2026). On June 25th, the Houston-Area Recruiters Network will host a college fair at Grand Oaks High School. Thirty-six colleges and universities will be on hand to meet prospective students and answer questions about before college applications open in late summer. In July, students can attend workshops to learn more about how admissions work, insider essay tips, and scholarship searches. On August 2nd, the Private College Collective will sponsor their own workshop at College Park High School. This workshop will be a deep-dive into highly selective admissions.

Know Your Neuro: Brain-based Parenting Strategies
Parents, caregivers, and school staff who understand children's NeuroWhereAbouts (phases of brain development) can more effectively shape executive functioning skills. In this presentation, Dr. Collier will explore the effects of high-risk behaviors, such as alcohol, drugs, and technology overuse, on the developing brain, while also sharing parenting strategies that enhance youth skills and empower parents.
